This Bespoke Alcove Unit was commissioned in 2009 to fit into an alcove adjacent to a fireplace in a Victorian house in Keynsham.
The cabinet is in a dresser style, with bookshelves (or ornament shelves) above and a row cupboards below for a pedestal base unit. Each of the cupboards contains an adjustable height shelf.
Dividing the upper ornament / book shelves and the pedestal base cupboards is a polished solid American oak worktop with a bull-nose moulding running along the face and sides.
The upper ornament / book shelf unit contains nine adjustable height shelves that all rest upon turned solid brass pegs.
The whole unit, with the exception of the solid oak worktop, is hand-painted to match the clients existing skirting boards, picture rail and architrave.
As with all Robert's fitted furniture the Display / Drinks Cabinet is meticulously scribed (cut to fit exactly to the walls regardless of whether the walls are even or uneven) to the walls on either side.
